Every month has its own awareness or dedication celebrated in it. April is known as national donating month. During this month, many donation groups hold awareness events and donor recognition ceremonies for people who have saved other lives by giving their organs. People across the United States celebrate the generosity of those who have saved lives by becoming organ, eye, tissue, marrow, and blood donors. National Donation Month was established by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations in 2003. National Donation Month helps raise awareness about donation. They encourage Americans to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors. Another way you can help is by donating blood. If you would like to donate blood, you can either go to BioLife in Findlay, or you can donate blood at Arlington High School on April 29th. You can donate at the high school by going to the American Red Cross website and signing up to donate.
The link to the website to sign up is below. Type in Arlington’s zip code (45814) and select Arlington Local School. Then select a time you would like to donate at. Make sure you are signed in!!
