State Senator Sandra O'Brien (R-Astabula) today announced the unanimous passage of Senate Bill 283 by the Ohio Senate, which would establish the "World War II Veterans Memorial Highway" along the stretch of State Route 84 between the intersections of State Road and Blake Road in Ashtabula Township.
"As the daughter of a World War II veteran, this bill carries a special significance for myself. It is just one small way we can honor and remember the legacy of our Greatest Generation and the sacrifices they made for our freedoms," O'Brien said.
Senate Bill 283 will now be sent to the Ohio House for further consideration. To learn more, click here.
