State Senator George Lang (R- West Chester) today announced the approval by the State Controlling Board of grants to local law enforcement agencies to assist in reducing and preventing crime, including a $33,000 grant to the city of Middletown.
"We must do everything possible to ensure that the men and women serving in law enforcement have the resources and equipment needed to safely and effectively do their jobs," Lang said, "The Middletown Police Department is well deserving of this grant, and I have no doubt that it will only improve their fantastic service to the community.
The grant will be available to the city for law enforcement uses including overtime pay, equipment purchases and upgrades, and analytical support to implement crime reduction strategies.
