Today, the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus announced that it is accepting applications from individuals seeking appointment to Senate District 21 in Cuyahoga County. The office is currently represented by state Senator Sandra R. Williams, who announced her resignation this week.
Applicants should email a resume and cover letter to the 21stSenateDistrictApplicants@gmail.com by 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
A screening panel of Democratic state senators will interview applicants beginning on Monday, June 6, 2022, and make a recommendation to the Senate Democratic Caucus. The caucus will then elect a qualified applicant to serve the remainder of Williams’ term, which runs through December 31, 2022.
The office of Senate District 21 remains open and staffed.
