Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) set the school-record for career rushing touchdowns as the Baldwin Wallace University football team won its fourth straight game and remained undefeated at home as it defeated Otterbein University in an Ohio Athletic Conference, Community and Family Day and Homecoming game by a final score of 35-21 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
BW (5-2, 5-1 OAC) improved to 40-12-1 in the all-time series with Otterbein (2-5, 1-5 OAC).
Murray, Jr., who became the career record holder with 40 touchdowns on his second touchdown, was named the Frank Ropollo Offensive Player of the Game and senior All-OAC defensive back Anthony Kendall (junior linebacker Dillon O'Donoghue (Canonsburg, Pa. / Cannon-McMillian) were selected as the Co-Dick Miller Defensive Players of the Game.
Offensively for the Yellow Jackets, senior quarterback Reese Wamer (Oregon/Clay) completed 7-of-12 passes for 113 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Murray, Jr. rushed for a game-high 57 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Darius Stokes (Caton/GlenOak) caught four passes for 49 yards with one touchdown. Defensively, Kendall recorded seven tackles with two interceptions and one pass breakup. O'Donoghue tallied six tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and one pass break up.
Offensively for the Cardinals, junior quarterback Eason Hardouin completed 8-of-25 passes for 90 yards with an interception. Senior All-OAC running back Siraj Muhammad rushed for 56 yards on eight carries. Sophomore wide out Damien Whaley caught five passes for 50 yards. Defensively, sophomore linebacker Charlie Hornacek recorded a game-high 12 tackles.
