Of the 11,769,923 citizens living in Ohio in 2021, 77.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 9,139,934 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 4,453,915 were male, constituting 48.7%, and 4,686,019 were female, making up 51.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Ohio during 2021 was higher than the national average, which stands at 77.5%.
