The Ohio Republican Party has issued a resolution condemning Hamas and the global rise of antisemitism. The resolution, dated December 1, 2023, outlines the party's stance in the wake of the violent actions perpetrated by Hamas against Israeli civilians.

The resolution highlights the heinous acts committed by Hamas, stating, "WHEREAS, on October 7, 2023 the radical terrorist group Hamas conducted an unprovoked attack against Israeli civilians, raping, mutilating, murdering, and capturing thousands of innocent Jewish people;" It also acknowledges that American citizens were among the victims of the attack.

Furthermore, the Ohio Republican Party affirms its support for Israel's right to protect its borders and eliminate the threat posed by Hamas. The resolution declares, "WHEREAS, the Ohio Republican Party recognizes Israel’s legitimate authority to defend their borders and eliminate the Hamas terrorist organization;"

In a show of solidarity with Ohio's Jewish community, the party asserts, "WHEREAS, the Ohio Republican Party and our elected officials support all of Ohio’s more than 150,000 Jewish citizens who are directly, and indirectly, harmed by the horrific attack against them;"

The resolution concludes with a firm denouncement of antisemitism in all its forms, including instances on college campuses, within the Democrat Party in Congress, and among hate groups targeting Jewish individuals. The Ohio Republican Party states, "NOW, THEREFORE BE ITRESOLVED, the Ohio Republican Party unequivocally condemns antisemitism in all of its forms, including, but not limited to, on U.S. college campuses, among some members of Congress in the Democrat Party, and among any hate group that targets the Jewish people."
