FOIA Request to Union County Regarding Vendor Payments in 2024 on September 26th.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability, we at Buckeye Reporter have submitted a request under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., for a comprehensive list of all payments made to vendors by Union County from January 1st, 2024 till September 26th, 2024.
The requested records should include specific fields such as the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description, and the amount paid. We believe that access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
Given our role in disseminating information to the public as a media organization, we have also requested for a fee waiver as per standard procedure. We eagerly await Union County's response and will keep our readers updated on any developments.
