Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted recently visited Noble County to meet with local officials and tour two key developments: the Caldwell East of I-77 Business Park and the new Caldwell High School football field.

“It was great to be in Noble County today to catch up with community leaders and see two new developments -- the Caldwell East of I-77 Business Park and the new Caldwell High School football field,” Husted wrote in an Oct. 2 social media post on X.

The $4.8 million Caldwell East of I-77 Business Park project will feature a 10,000-square-foot facility, new access roads, utilities, and water and sewer systems, according to a press release on JobsOhio. The business park aims to attract light manufacturing, energy, and logistics projects, benefiting from the region's lower cost of living and competitive wages. The park will support economic growth and create jobs in the region.

WTRF News reported that the Caldwell Exempted Village School District, in collaboration with Motz Group and OSports, is constructing a new all-sports facility on a 5.65-acre site near Fairground Road and Main Street in Caldwell. The planned complex will feature an eight-lane track, a multi-use turf field, grandstands with a capacity for 1,020 spectators, a press box, stadium lighting, and facilities for restrooms, concessions, and all-sports training.

According to his official bio page, Jon Husted was adopted and raised in Northwest Ohio's Williams County. He grew up with a strong foundation in faith, family, and hard work. After excelling as an All-American defensive back and earning advanced degrees from the University of Dayton, Husted contributed to economic development as vice president at the Dayton-Area Chamber of Commerce.

Husted's tenure as Secretary of State was marked by significant improvements in business processes, including reducing start-up costs and eliminating office fees, saving taxpayers millions. As House Speaker, he championed Ohio’s most conservative budget in decades with a historic income tax cut. Elected Lt. Governor in 2018, Husted continues to balance his public service with his roles as a husband to his wife Tina and father to their three children.
