FOIA Request to Meigs County Regarding Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Logs on October 7, 2024.
As a part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Buckeye Reporter have submitted a request for public records under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq.
Our request specifically seeks access to the list of FOIA logs sent to Meigs County from January 1, 2024, until October 7, 2024. The requested information includes the following fields: Requester Name, Requester Organization, Request Content, Request Date, Request Complete Date, and FOIA Status.
Access to these public records is essential for us at Buckeye Reporter to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information as a media organization, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
