The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF) has made available resources for small business owners focusing on mental health in the workplace. These resources include a comprehensive guide and an employer toolkit designed to help identify individuals at risk, connect them with treatment, and provide support for managing stress.

According to OSPF, "The workplace can be an important location for support designed to improve well-being among adults." The foundation emphasizes that investing in mental health is essential for creating strong workplaces, a robust workforce, and thriving communities. OSPF offers free VitalCog Training, which is tailored specifically to address mental health and crisis situations within the workplace.

Employers are encouraged to explore these resources and develop mental health strategies that could enhance employee well-being and benefit the organization’s bottom line as well as the community. To access the free resources or request training, interested parties can visit OSPF's website or reach out to Jason Hughes at Jason.Hughes@ohiospf.org.
