U.S. Congressman Warren Davidson (OH-08) recently held a roundtable discussion with small business owners at The Back Porch Saloon in West Chester, which is an NFIB small business member. The congressman addressed several critical issues affecting small businesses, including an impending tax increase, extensive government regulations, and challenging reporting requirements.
"We are thankful that Rep. Warren Davidson made the time to talk about the engine of Ohio’s economy: small business owners," stated NFIB State Director Chris Ferruso. "Our members continue to be overwhelmed with various challenges facing their businesses and Rep. Davidson has been a strong advocate in Congress to relieve them of some of these economic and regulatory pressures."
Earlier this year, Congressman Davidson introduced the Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act. This legislation aims to repeal the demanding beneficial ownership reporting requirements imposed on small businesses. These requirements were part of the Corporate Transparency Act and represent significant regulatory burdens for small enterprises.
