Jim Jordan, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 4th district since 2007, recently took to social media to express his views on law enforcement and immigration policies. The tweets, posted on May 7, 2025, reflect his critical stance towards certain Democratic policies.

In a tweet posted at 17:00 UTC, Jordan stated, "Turns out, if you defund the police, you get more crime! Democrat-run Minneapolis." This comment is directed at the consequences he perceives from efforts to reduce police funding in Minneapolis.

Later that day at 19:59 UTC, Jordan tweeted about an incident involving immigrants in New York City: "Illegal aliens attack police officers in New York City. These are the people Democrats DON’T want President Trump to deport." Here, he criticizes Democratic resistance to former President Trump's deportation policies.

Another tweet was shared by Jordan at 20:34 UTC, though it contained only a link without any accompanying text or context.

Jim Jordan has served as a congressman since succeeding Mike Oxley in 2007. Before his tenure in Congress, he was part of the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana, Jordan holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
