The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 7 is inviting public comments on several upcoming projects.
For the AUG-U.S. 33 at IR 75 Interchange Improvements, ODOT has chosen to proceed with a preferred alternative after considering public input. This includes constructing a roundabout at the I-75 northbound exit ramp at US 33. The construction is set to begin in Spring 2026, and further details can be found on the Project Page for PID 118055.
In Miami and Darke Counties, ODOT plans safety improvements at the intersection of US Route 36 and State Route 721 due to high crash rates. The project will convert the current two-way stop-controlled intersection into a roundabout, with construction expected to start in Spring 2027. An online presentation about these improvements is available on the ODOT project page for PID 118070.
The Miami County Engineer aims to rehabilitate the Garnsey Street Bridge over the Great Miami River in Piqua. The work will involve painting structural steel and replacing the concrete bridge deck, starting July 2026 and taking up to a year.
In Centerville, there are plans to replace existing walkways with a multi-use path along East Franklin Street and Clyo Road to enhance bicycle and pedestrian safety. Construction is slated for Spring 2027, lasting approximately 15 months.
Comments on these projects should be submitted by July 31, 2025. Feedback can be directed to Tricia Bishop via phone at 937-497-6721 or email at Tricia.Bishop@dot.ohio.gov. Public participation is encouraged without discrimination based on race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.
Further information about these projects can be accessed through ODOT's website or www.Ohgo.com for statewide construction updates.
