The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is inviting public comments on two upcoming projects. The first project, LOG-Brown Avenue Sidewalk Improvements (PID 121449), involves the City of Bellefontaine's plan to install a new 5-foot sidewalk with a retaining wall and hand railing along the north side of Brown Avenue. This will stretch between the westernmost entrance of Bellefontaine Cemetery and Hillcrest Drive. The project also includes crosswalk striping and curb ramps on Brown Avenue, with work expected to start in June 2026.

The second project, MOT-Edwin C. Moses Enhancements (PID 119400), is proposed by the City of Dayton. It aims to improve traffic calming and pedestrian access on Edwin C. Moses Boulevard, between First Street and Third Street. Planned improvements include reducing lanes from four to three, realigning the intersection at West Riverview Avenue, and installing bumpouts. This project is slated to begin in Summer 2028.

ODOT encourages public feedback on these projects concerning their impact on local residents, air quality, the economy, and historical or cultural resources. Comments can be submitted until August 31, 2025. Feedback should be directed to Tricia Bishop at 937-497-6721 or via email at Tricia.Bishop@dot.ohio.gov.

Public participation is welcomed without regard to race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.
