Cleveland police arrest two suspects linked to armed robberies

On July 16, 2025, the Cleveland Division of Police’s 2nd and 3rd District Violent Crime Reduction Task Force Team began investigating a series of armed robberies in their districts. According to police, each robbery involved a Black Honda Civic identified as the suspect vehicle.

The investigation included officers from multiple units: the 2nd and 3rd District VCRT, Cleveland Division of Police K9 Unit, Cleveland Gang Impact Unit, and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. The agencies worked together to track the suspect vehicle as it moved from Cleveland’s west side to its east side.

“With the assistance of the Sheriff’s we were successful in to arresting (2) individuals, preventing any further acts of violence,” according to a statement from law enforcement officials.

Police report that two people have been taken into custody. They face charges including Aggravated Robbery, Robbery, Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Property, and Aggravated Theft. Authorities say additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
