Small business owners from southwest Ohio met with Congressman Warren Davidson at a roundtable hosted by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in West Chester on August 7. The meeting focused on policy issues affecting small businesses in the state.

Congressman Davidson discussed his efforts to repeal the beneficial ownership reporting requirements. He sponsors the Big Brother Overreach Act, which aims to permanently remove FinCen beneficial ownership reporting and block its future implementation, regardless of administrative changes.

“We appreciate Congressman Davidson for taking the time to meet with our members and hear from them directly about their small businesses,” said Cameron Garczyk, NFIB Ohio Assistant State Director. “Small business owners appreciate his dedication to repealing the unconstitutional and invasive beneficial ownership reporting, a top priority for our members. We look forward to continuing to work with Rep. Davidson to strengthen the small business economy.”

The discussion also covered other federal priorities for NFIB. These included maintaining the permanence of the Small Business Deduction and finding ways to make healthcare more affordable.
