The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has invited small business owners across the state to participate in the In-Demand Jobs Survey. The survey is intended to collect feedback from employers about which jobs are most needed, helping to inform updates to Ohio’s In-Demand Jobs List.

Ohio is required to keep its In-Demand Jobs List current, as this list determines how 85% of federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act training funds are spent. While surveying employers is not mandated, the state chooses to do so in order to better align workforce programs with business needs. An updated and simplified version of the survey was introduced by the DeWine administration in 2019 with the goal of improving connections between job seekers and available opportunities.

Small business owners interested in participating can access the survey online. Additional information about top jobs in Ohio is available at topjobs.ohio.gov.
