Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team has released its non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season, finalizing a 31-game slate that includes 17 home games and 14 road contests. The Falcons will host nine conference games and travel for nine as part of their Mid-American Conference (MAC) campaign, with the full conference schedule announced earlier.
Head coach Todd Simon commented on the new schedule, stating, "Our non-conference schedule prepares us well to compete in the MAC this season. We have high level challenges with Kansas State, Michigan State and Dayton along with the Fort Myers Classic in Florida to give us a neutral sight tournament test. We will travel to Davidson and our Sun Belt opponent for true road battles. We achieved scheduling more home dates which was a priority with MAC play moving into December. Our home slate is highlighted by 25-win WAC Champion Utah Valley, William & Mary and Texas State all coming to the Stroh Center. We are excited for the challenge of building this team and competing at a high level this season."
The Falcons will begin their preseason with two exhibition games on the road: at Michigan State on October 23 and at Dayton on October 27. The regular season opens with three consecutive home games following an away matchup against Texas State in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on November 3. Home openers include Bethany College on November 6 and Le Moyne on November 9.
Other notable non-conference matchups feature trips to Davidson (November 15), participation in the Fort Myers Tip-Off against Bucknell (November 24) and VMI (November 26), as well as an away game at Kansas State (December 1). Home games include hosting Utah Valley (December 6), Aquinas College (December 7), Chicago State (December 16), William & Mary (November 19), and Siena Heights (December 22). The second leg of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge is scheduled for February 7, with Bowling Green’s opponent to be named later.
Tickets for the upcoming season are now available, starting at $155 under early bird pricing until September 9, according to the university’s athletics department. Fans can also inquire about premium seating options via an online request form.
This year marks a change within the MAC schedule as league play begins in December for Bowling Green—the first time since the pandemic-shortened season of 2020-21 that this has occurred. The Falcons start conference action at Ohio in Athens on December 20 before returning home to face Miami (OH) on December 30.
The conference portion continues into January with road games at UMass—marking Bowling Green’s first visit there as part of MAC play—and Kent State before hosting Akron at home. The alternating pattern between home and away games continues throughout January and February, including traditional rivalries such as Toledo in the Battle of I-75.
The regular season wraps up in early March after another stretch of both home and away contests within conference play.
