Yesterday evening, the Cleveland Division of Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of 1051 W. 10th Street at approximately 6:20 p.m. The incident followed concerns about overcrowding at Play Bar, which prompted a response from the Fire Marshal and members of the Division of Fire. When officials arrived, an altercation began as the crowd inside was moved outside, after which gunshots were fired and people fled.

Officers assigned to a Browns special event detail responded within one minute of dispatch, having already been managing large crowds in the Warehouse District. First responders from both fire and police departments provided aid to five individuals at the scene before they were transported by EMS to local hospitals. A sixth victim arrived at a hospital by private vehicle.

Crime scene detectives processed the location and found around 40 shell casings from four different caliber weapons near 1051 W. 10th Street. Detectives also reviewed surveillance footage and determined that one of the victims had been observed firing a weapon during the incident.

The identified victims are as follows:

- A 21-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her foot.

- A 45-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his knee.

- A 22-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his thigh.

- An 18-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

- A 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his front teeth.

- A 21-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds (abdomen, hand, hip, and thigh), who is currently under arrest for involvement in the shooting.

Several vehicles were also struck by bullets during the incident; some were occupied at the time. The police expressed relief that there were not more injuries resulting from what they described as "this senseless act of violence."

Detectives continue to follow up on leads provided by witnesses, callers, and video evidence. The investigation remains active, and authorities urge anyone with information related to this case to contact the Third District Detective Unit at 216-623-5318.
