Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) is set to visit Colombia this week as part of a congressional delegation touring three Latin American countries. The Associated Press reported that the trip marks a return to familiar territory for Moreno.
Moreno has become a key contact for conservatives in Latin America who are looking to strengthen ties with the Trump administration. In an interview with The Associated Press before his departure, Moreno voiced significant concerns about Colombia’s current trajectory under President Gustavo Petro.
