Bowling Green State University had 10 baseball players named to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Academic All-MAC list for the 2025 season, according to an announcement made Monday. This total ties Bowling Green for the fourth-most selections in the conference, with seven teams having at least 10 student-athletes recognized.
The Falcons have maintained a consistent presence on the Academic All-MAC list during head coach Kyle Hallock's tenure, with at least 10 players honored each of his five seasons leading the program. The Bowling Green recipients for this year are Logan Bell, Gavin Ganun, Nic Good, Zack Horky, Luke Krouse, DJ Newman, Connar Penrod, Sam Seidel, Landon Willeman and Garrett Wright.
Across the MAC, a total of 103 student-athletes were named to the list. Western Michigan led all schools with 14 honorees. Kent State followed with 12 and Ohio had 11.
The Academic All-MAC award is given to student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in both academics and athletics. To be eligible for selection, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 and participate in at least half of their team's contests during the season. First-year students and junior-college transfers in their first year at their current institution are not eligible for consideration.
Among Bowling Green’s honorees, Luke Krouse and Garrett Wright achieved perfect 4.00 GPAs while balancing their academic responsibilities with athletic commitments.
