Bowling Green State University’s baseball team is preparing for the final week of the regular season with four games scheduled. The Falcons will start with a non-conference matchup against Toledo on Tuesday, May 13 at Scott Park, followed by a three-game home series against Northern Illinois from Thursday to Saturday at Steller Field. Saturday’s game will serve as Senior Day, honoring seven senior players: Antillon, Ganun, Good, Horky, Parker, Penrod and Roder.

Tuesday and Saturday's games will be broadcast on BCSN and ESPN+, while Thursday's contest can be viewed on YouTube. All home games at Steller Field remain free for fans to attend. Updates regarding any schedule changes will be posted on BGSUFalcons.com and the team's Twitter/X account (@BGSU_Baseball).

The Falcons are entering this week with 31 wins and are positioned to potentially break their single-season win record of 36, which was set in 1977, 1999 and 2001. Last season, Bowling Green finished with 33 victories.

As the regular season concludes, Bowling Green has already secured a spot in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament as either the No. 4 or No. 5 seed. Their first tournament game is set for May 21 at 6 p.m., with seeding dependent on results from this week's matchups. Depending on outcomes involving Toledo and Central Michigan, Bowling Green could face either team in their opening tournament game.

Reflecting on recent competition, Toledo holds a season record of 25-27 overall and is coming off wins over Youngstown State and Northern Illinois. The upcoming meeting between Bowling Green and Toledo marks their fourth encounter this year; Bowling Green leads the all-time series between the programs.

Northern Illinois enters its series against Bowling Green with a record of 20-31 overall and an 8-19 mark in MAC play. The Huskies recently lost two out of three games to Toledo but recorded notable conference wins earlier in the season.

The Falcons have an opportunity to break their program strikeout record for a second consecutive year after surpassing it last year with 403 strikeouts; they currently stand at 387 strikeouts this season.

Additionally, Bowling Green is nearing another milestone—three wins away from reaching its 1,800th victory since beginning varsity play in 1918.

Senior Zack Horky currently holds a team-best hitting streak at thirteen games—the longest by any Falcon this season—and sits two games away from entering the school’s record book for longest hitting streaks in a single campaign.

Fans can follow updates about the team through various social media platforms including Twitter (@BGSU_Athletics and @BGSU_Baseball), Instagram ('bgfalcons' and 'bgsu_baseball'), Facebook ('BGSU Athletics'), and YouTube ('Falcons Athletics').
