Bowling Green State University has added Tyler Nickol to its men's golf coaching staff for the upcoming year. Head coach John Powers announced the appointment, highlighting Nickol's background in collegiate golf.

Nickol is from Avon, Indiana and played on the men's golf team at Kentucky Wesleyan College from 2021 to 2024. He was recognized twice with Great Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference honors and was named a Golf Coaches Association of America All-America Scholar in 2024. That same year, he won the GMAC Championships by shooting a total score of 209, finishing seven under par.

"I am honored to join the men's golf program at Bowling Green State University," said Nickol. "As I step into this new role, I look forward to working alongside coach John Powers to support the development of our current and future student-athletes — both on and off the course. I'm excited to bring my experiences as a former collegiate player and coach to the program."

Before joining BGSU, Nickol worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Ulen Country Club in Lebanon, Indiana. There, he gained experience instructing golfers at different skill levels. He also served as a Tournament Operations Intern at the American Junior Golf Association, where he helped plan and run junior-level tournaments.

The addition of Nickol brings more collegiate playing and coaching experience to Bowling Green's men's golf program.
