Bowling Green men’s golf finishes twelfth at Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team participated in the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate, held September 13-14 at the Katke-Cousins Golf Course in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The event was hosted by Oakland University and featured a par 71 course measuring 7,204 yards.

Bowling Green finished 12th out of the competing teams, posting a total score of 916 over three rounds. Pedro Garcia, a newcomer to the team, led the Falcons with a three-round total of 220 (+7), tying for 22nd place individually. Sophomore Andrew Lee followed with a score of 228 (+15), while another newcomer, Angelo Luciani, shot a combined 230 (+17).

Other team members included David Chavez, who recorded a score of 241 (+28), and Charlie Pettrone with a total of 242 (+29).

The team leaderboard was topped by Butler University with an overall score of 857 (+5). Toledo placed second at 868 (+16), followed by Cleveland State at 880 (+28). Bowling Green finished ahead of only one other team in the field.

The Falcons are scheduled to return to competition in two weeks when they host the Virtues Intercollegiate at Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio on September 29-30.
