Bowling Green State University has named Emily Robbins as the new Director of Player Personnel for its women's basketball program. Robbins joins the Falcons after working at Western Michigan University, another member of the Mid-American Conference.

Head coach Fred Chmiel expressed confidence in Robbins' background and abilities. "Emily is well versed in the sport of women's basketball, the growth and care of student athletes and the day-to-day operations of a MAC University," said Chmiel. "She will be a great asset to current and former student athletes."

Robbins held a full-time position with Western Michigan's women's basketball team for four years, serving as director of operations since September 2021. In that role, she managed daily activities for the Broncos.

Reflecting on her move, Robbins stated, "I'm incredibly grateful for my time at Western Michigan, where I learned and grew so much both personally and professionally. I'm excited to bring that experience with me as I begin this new chapter at Bowling Green, and want to thank Coach Chmiel for the opportunity and for his trust in me."

A native of Kalamazoo, Robbins attended WMU where she was a student manager from 2019 to 2021 while completing her undergraduate studies. She also worked in resident life and athletics facilities during her time at the university.

In addition to her work with WMU athletics, Robbins completed an internship with the Kalamazoo Growlers baseball team and worked at Kalamazoo Country Club. She graduated from WMU in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management, along with minors in general business and event management.
