Johnathon Cottingim from Preble County has completed the Ohio Farm Bureau’s AgriPOWER Class XV leadership program. The program, which began in 2008, is designed to equip agricultural advocates with skills to influence public policy that affects their businesses and communities.
According to the Ohio Farm Bureau, AgriPOWER offers participants a chance to develop leadership abilities and deepen their understanding of issues facing agriculture today. Graduates of the program are expected to use these skills to represent and support agricultural interests in public discussions and policymaking.
"AgriPOWER was started in 2008 to help agricultural advocates gain influence over public policy issues that impact their businesses and communities," the Ohio Farm Bureau stated.
Cottingim joins a group of alumni who have gone through the training since its inception, aiming to play a role in shaping policies relevant to Ohio’s farming sector.
