Symmes Township announced on April 30 that it will hold an event called Symmes Honors Veterans on May 22 at Home of the Brave Park. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

The gathering aims to recognize and honor local veterans for their service. According to the announcement, Vietnam veteran Steve Korach will serve as the keynote speaker for the evening.

Planned activities include a Presentation of Colors, a 21-gun salute, and a wreath laying ceremony. Organizers say these elements are intended to show appreciation and respect for those who have served in the armed forces.

Veterans are encouraged to attend so they can be recognized during the program. The township said all community members are welcome to join in honoring area veterans.

The event reflects ongoing efforts by Symmes Township to acknowledge and thank military service members from the community.
