Teays Valley Local Schools announced on May 1 that all incoming kindergarten students are required to attend academic, health, and speech screenings in early June. During the event, students will also receive a Teays Valley Class of 2039 yard sign.
The screenings are scheduled for Ashville Elementary, Scioto Elementary, and Walnut Elementary on June 1, while S Bloomfield Elementary will hold its session on June 2. The events at each school will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with each screening expected to last about thirty minutes.
Ashville and Walnut students can arrive at any time during the designated hours for their screenings. In contrast, Scioto and S Bloomfield students are asked to sign up for specific time slots using links that will be updated prior to the screenings.
