Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, has recently shared several statements on social media. Massie, who was born in Huntington, West Virginia, and holds a degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has been vocal about various political issues.

On January 31, 2025, Massie commented on national security appointments under former President Trump. Later the same day, Massie announced his legislative efforts with the reintroduction of a bill aimed at dismantling the federal Department of Education. He declared: “I just reintroduced H.R. 899, a one sentence bill to TERMINATE the federal department of education and return power back to teachers and parents.” The tweet included a link to view the bill’s text.

In another post made on January 31st as well, Massie shared an image or concept that prompted him to ask humorously: “ Would you buy it?
