Three members of the Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators, according to a March 24 announcement. The honorees are Javontae Campbell, Troy Glover II, and Mayar Wol.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. For Bowling Green, this marks the third consecutive season with at least one player earning Academic All-District honors, setting a program record.

Javontae Campbell started all 32 games for the Falcons while majoring in Individualized Studies with a 3.62 GPA. He broke the program’s single-season steals record with 97, finishing third all-time in the Mid-American Conference and leading the nation for steals this season. Campbell averaged a team-high 18.7 points per game and led the MAC in scoring against conference opponents with 21.4 points per game. He also shot an even 50 percent from the field and led his team in assists with a total of 163.

Troy Glover II also majors in Individualized Studies (3.66 GPA) and played every game this season, starting in all but two contests. Glover led Bowling Green in field goal percentage at 65.8 percent and registered three double-doubles during the year. He paced his team with 45 blocks—placing him among BGSU’s top ten for single-season blocks—and ranked fifth in blocks per game within the conference.

Mayar Wol, holding a GPA of 3.50 in Individualized Studies, appeared in all games as well and started ten times while averaging nearly twenty minutes per contest. Wol tied for most three-pointers made on his team (50), shooting over thirty-nine percent from beyond the arc, and averaged just over ten points per game overall.

The Academic All-District teams honor student-athletes across NCAA Division I through III as well as NAIA institutions based on their combined academic achievements and athletic performances each year.
