The Baldwin Wallace University women’s lacrosse team defeated Calvin (Mich.) University in a non-conference contest by a final score of 11-9. 

BW (2-5) was led by junior midfielder Deanna Loukas (Tuckahoe, N.Y./Eastchester) as she recorded four goals, two ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers. Freshman attacker Carley House (Hilliard/Darby) also totaled four points with three goals and an assist.

Calvin (3-4) was led by graduate midfielder Megan Gilbert who tallied four goals, two ground balls, nine draw controls, and three caused turnovers.

1st Quarter

  • 14:28 – Megan Gilbert scores first for Calvin, assisted by Mekaelah McClymont.
  • 12:25 – BW goal from junior midfielder Deanna Loukas (Tuckahoe, N.Y./Eastchester), assisted by sophomore attacker Lauren Getchey (Perrysburg).
  • 11:26 – Calvin goal from Gilbert, assisted by Jacey Smith.
  • 8:45 – Yellow Jacket goal from Loukas.
  • 7:14 – Calvin goal from Gilbert. (3-2 Calvin)

2nd Quarter

  • 13:45 – Calvin goal by Lainey Aldridge.
  • 10:58 – Goal by House for the Yellow Jackets.
  • 8:24 – BW goal by Loukas, assisted by House.
  • 6:10 – Goal for the Knights by Gilbert, assisted by Anneliese Hanson.
  • 5:44 – Sophomore attacker Lily Tope (Delaware/Hayes) goal for the Yellow Jackets, assisted by freshman attacker Mariana Melgoza (Avon Lake).
  • 0:09 – Knights goal by McClymont. (6-5 Calvin)

3rd Quarter

  • 14:03 – Melgoza goal for the Yellow Jackets.
  • 11:33 – Yellow Jacket goal by junior Academic All-OAC attacker Lexy Conway (Wooster).
  • 10:43 – BW goal from senior All-OAC midfielder Kaitlyn Hradek (Olmsted Township/Olmsted Falls), assisted by Conway. (8-6 BW)
  • 10:26 – Loukas goal for the Yellow Jackets, assisted by Conway.
  • 7:10 – House BW goal, assisted by Tope. (11-6 BW)
  • 4:55 – Calvin goal by Meghan Chang.

A fourth quarter was not played due to power outages on BW’s campus.
