Petroleum Engineering student receives John Applegath Scholarship from AADE
Marietta College issued the following announcement on Feb. 21Daniel Dougherty ’23 (Hilliard, Ohio) was recently honored by the Appalachian Basin American Association Drilling Engineers (AADE) with the John Applegath Scholarship, which is valued at $7,500.“I am grateful to everyone with AADE who determined I was worthy of this scholarship,” Dougherty said.

Six faculty members receive tenure; four others promoted
President Bill Ruud, in consultation with the Renewal, Tenure and Promotion Committee and Provost and Dean of the Faculty Dr. Janet Bland, and with the approval of the Board of Trustees, has recently promoted and awarded tenure to six faculty members.

Venue changed for Tesla String Quartet’s Esbenshade Series performance
For the second time this season, Marietta College has switched the location for an Esbenshade Series performance as the Tesla String Quartet concert will be conducted in the First Congregational Church (318 Front St.) in downtown Marietta.
