At last week’s SkillsUSA Automotive Collision meeting Jamie Redd from PPG was awarded with the Outstanding Business & Education Partnership Award. The award, given to Mr.
Redd for being generous with his time, talents, and tools, was announced in October.
DACC’s Automotive Collision Instructor, Mr. Finnegan, said that “Jamie advocates for this program, works with the students and just does everything he can for this program.”
Mr. Redd was also instrumental in assisting Mr. Finnegan, with applying for and receiving a $10,000 grant from the PPG Foundation. Mr. Finnegan shared that with the money, he
plans to purchase a self-vacuum sanding station and clean air respirators in order to continuously ensure a safe, healthy, and clean environment for our students.
