Ohio Farm Bureau purchases top animals at state fair auction

The 2024 Sale of Champions livestock auction concluded the Ohio State Fair, held on Sunday afternoon, August 4, in the WCOL Celeste Center. The event showcased Ohio’s premium livestock, premier junior fair exhibitors, and generous supporters.

On the sale bill were the grand champion and reserve champion of various species, including market beef, market barrows, market lambs, market chickens, and boer goats. Additionally featured were the grand champion market turkey and a block of Swiss cheese representing the seven dairy champions. The auction raised a total of $260,500.
