Early voting in Ohio commenced today, providing residents with an opportunity to cast their votes ahead of the official Election Day on November 5. Voters can choose to vote early in-person at their local Board of Elections or by mail through a requested mail-in ballot.

The Republican Party is actively encouraging early voting through its "Swamp the Vote" initiative. They emphasize that this effort supports voters regardless of their political preferences.

Several key dates are highlighted for the 2024 election cycle: Military and overseas absentee voting began on September 20, and October 7 marked the deadline for voter registration. Early in-person and absentee voting starts today, October 8.

The Buckeye Firearms Association (BFA) has also made endorsements for this election season. They advocate for Bernie Moreno in the U.S. Senate race, noting its potential impact on Senate control. For the Ohio Supreme Court, they endorse Joseph Deters, Megan Shanahan, and Dan Hawkins as candidates who align with constitutional principles.

Additionally, BFA urges voters to oppose State Issue 1. The organization argues that while proponents claim it aims to eliminate gerrymandering of legislative district maps in Ohio, it could instead exacerbate gerrymandering issues affecting gun rights.

Voters are encouraged to review BFA's Pro-Gun Voter Guide for further insights into endorsed candidates and positions on various issues.
