FOIA Request to Seneca County Regarding Public Records from January to October 2024 on October 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Buckeye Reporter have requested public records under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., from Seneca County.
The request was made for a list of FOIA logs sent to the county from January 1, 2024 till October 7, 2024. The requested fields include: Requester Name, Requester Organization, Request Content, Request Date, Request Complete Date and FOIA Status.
Access to these public records is essential for us in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. We believe that as media professionals involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver.
