A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Jackson County on October 7, 2024. The request, issued by Buckeye Reporter, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, sought access to public records under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq.
The specific records requested include a list of FOIA logs that were sent to the county from January 1, 2024 till October 7, 2024. The requested fields within these logs include the requester's name and organization, the content of their request, the date of their request and its completion date, as well as the status of the FOIA.
