FOIA Request to Stark County Regarding FOIA Logs from January to October 2024 on October 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Buckeye Reporter have submitted a request for records under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq.
Our request specifically seeks access to a list of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) logs sent to Stark County from January 1, 2024, until October 7, 2024. The requested fields include the requester's name and organization, content of the request, date of the request and completion date, as well as the status of the FOIA request.
Access to these public records is essential for us in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
