The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Orlando Sonza for election to the United States House of Representatives. Sonza is vying to represent Ohio’s 1st Congressional District.

Chris Ferruso, NFIB Ohio State Director, expressed support for Sonza, highlighting his background as a CPA and small business owner. "Orlando Sonza is a CPA who has owned his own small business," Ferruso stated. "He understands how tax policy can impact the ability of our members to succeed. He knows the importance of making the Small Business Deduction permanent. His background and understanding of our members’ issues make him the pro-small business candidate in this race."

Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also endorsed Sonza, emphasizing his qualifications. "Orlando Sonza deeply understands the problems and priorities of small business," Sussin said. "As a lawyer, tax specialist, and small business owner, he is well-positioned to stand up for Main Street priorities such as regulatory reform and making tax relief for small businesses permanent. We are proud to endorse him today."

The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee funded by voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their membership dues. The decision-making process for endorsements by NFIB FedPAC involves a grassroots evaluation driven by its members.
