Known for his conservative stance and vocal support of former President Donald Trump, Jordan has made several public statements addressing both national and sports-related issues.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Jim Jordan expressed his condolences for the late Johnny Gaudreau, who was a prominent player for the Columbus Blue Jackets before his untimely death last year. In a tweet, he mentioned that Team USA Hockey is dedicating their play in an upcoming tournament to honor Gaudreau's memory. He concluded with a blessing for the team: "Johnny Gaudreau was a great player for the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to his tragic death last year... God Bless them!"
