Rep. Jim Jordan, a longtime member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 4th district, utilized social media to express recognition of a New Franklin, Ohio police officer's actions and to share links with his followers. Jordan has been in office since 2007, succeeding Mike Oxley, after having served in both the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio, in 1964, Jordan has academic roots from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.

On April 1, 2025, Rep. Jim Jordan tweeted, highlighting the heroic actions of Dan Kulcsar, a police officer from New Franklin, Ohio. "New Franklin, Ohio police officer Dan Kulcsar saved a woman trapped in her car after driving into an icy lake. God bless his bravery!"

A subsequent Twitter post from Rep. Jordan on the same date, "https://t.co/Mk32QVNtEI", provided a link without additional commentary.

Another post made by Rep. Jordan later that day continued this pattern, "https://t.co/BFjlUmPf9L" suggesting links of potential relevance to his followers.
