Jordan has a history of service, having previously been a member of the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio, he has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2007.

On April 15, 2025, Rep. Jim Jordan remarked that "Kash Patel is restoring the integrity of the FBI." He indicated that under President Trump, the "weaponization of the federal government is OVER," encapsulating his view with the phrase "Promises made. Promises kept."

Later the same day, he commented on President Trump's deportation policy, stating that "Democrats think America is at risk because President Trump is deporting TERRORISTS." This statement reflects his perspective on the political disagreement surrounding immigration and national security.

In another post, Jordan noted that "Border crossings down to an all-time low." He explained that criminals, illegal gang members, and terrorists have been deported, and drug trafficking operations have been shut down, reinforcing his viewpoint that "America is secure under President Trump."

Jim Jordan has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Ohio`s 4th District, since 2007. He previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995 to 2000, on the Ohio Senate from 2001 to 2006.
