Senator Bernie Moreno has continued his criticism of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, urging action to address interest rates. In a letter sent in July, Moreno called for Powell's resignation after weeks of questioning him over the decision not to reduce rates.

Moreno previously pressed Powell in June about his public remarks on former President Donald Trump’s trade policies and what Moreno described as a refusal to cut interest rates despite ongoing low inflation.
