The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has given the green light for a new building project in Brook Park, situated near Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport. The land is owned by Haslam Sports Group. This decision came after ODOT conducted a thorough review, which included an analysis by an independent aviation consultant.

The consultant evaluated additional data provided by both the City of Cleveland Department of Port Control and Clyde & Co., legal representatives for Haslam Sports Group. It was concluded that the proposed construction would not impact current flight operations at the airport. According to the consultant, "the proposed stadium would have no adverse effect on the safety and efficient use of the aeronautical environment," leading to a recommendation for permit approval with a waiver of obstruction standards.

Pamela Boratyn, Director of ODOT, supported this recommendation. She said, "All along our goal has been to ensure that all concerns were heard and addressed, and a resolution could be found."
