State Senator Louis W. Blessing, III (R-Cincinnati) today announced  the rollout of the state's capital budget, a $3.5 billion investment in Ohio's infrastructure and local community projects.

The legislature generally approves a capital budget every two years, and the bill funds needed improvements to public services and facilities across the state, including schools, roads and bridges, and mental health and addiction facilities.

Senator Blessing (R-Cincinnati) helped secure more than $20 million in funding for multiple projects across Hamilton County.

“I am thankful for the partnership and hard work of our local leaders to help brings these funds into Hamilton County,” Blessing said. “Capital Budget projects help strengthen and build our community, and I am proud to have played a role in fighting for these projects.”

Projects that have secured funding in the 8th District include:

Delhi Towne Square $750,000

Green Township Veterans Park Enhancement $650,000

Sharonville Convention Center $600,000

Fort Colerain Phase III $400,000

A full list of community projects will be available later this week.

The House and Senate approved the Capital Budget on Wednesday and it will now head to the Governor’s desk for signing.
