Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has initiated legal action against a Kentucky-based company, Superior Concrete & Hardscape Design, and its owner, Justin Cole Hensley. The lawsuit was filed in Butler County Common Pleas Court and alleges violations of the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act. The accusations involve taking over $50,000 from customers without delivering promised services.

The case arises from five complaints by Ohio consumers who reported substandard work or incomplete projects. "There’s a strong possibility that more individuals are dissatisfied with this contractor’s work, and we’d like to seek justice for them too," said Yost. He encouraged others who feel wronged to come forward.

Complaints lodged with the attorney general's Consumer Protection Section and the Better Business Bureau claim that Superior Concrete failed to provide contracted services like asphalt or concrete repairs. Allegations also include performing poor-quality work and not securing necessary permits.

Additionally, the lawsuit claims that Superior Concrete did not inform consumers of their right to cancel contracts nor provided a separate cancellation notice form as required by Ohio law.

Attorney General Yost is pursuing restitution for affected consumers, civil penalties against the company and its owner, and a permanent injunction to stop further consumer law violations.
