Thomas Massie, serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Kentucky’s 4th district, shared his views on a variety of legislative matters through a series of tweets. Massie, who has been a congressional representative since 2012, expressed his stance on issues such as gun legislation, foreign policy, and education.
On March 27, 2025, Massie tweeted about the approval of HR 38, a bill concerning National Reciprocity for gun carry laws in the Judiciary Committee. He stated, “Yesterday, our Judiciary Committee passed HR 38, National Reciprocity. I support this bill, but there is a better option, and it is National Constitutional Carry. 29 states already have Constitutional (i.e., permitless) Carry. Why not extend it to all 50 states?" highlighting his preference for a National Constitutional Carry approach over the recently passed bill.
In another tweet later the same day, Massie referred to an interview with journalist Kelley Vlahos, where they discussed various topics, including the U.S. policy on Yemen. He shared, “In my interview with @KelleyBVlahos this morning, we discussed the Signal chats and why striking Yemen is not America First. Here’s the article: https://t.co/qOZABJIy9i”
On March 28, 2025, Massie expressed gratitude to Representative Barry Moore for supporting his proposed legislation, HR 899, which seeks to dismantle the Federal Department of Education. He stated on Twitter, “Thank you to @RepBarryMoore for cosponsoring my bill to eliminate the Federal Department of Education (HR 899). Unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. should not be in charge of our children’s intellectual and moral development.”
