Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) issued a statement following the confirmation of David Toepfer as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. Moreno highlighted Toepfer’s background and commitment to law enforcement.
“A native of Youngstown, David Toepfer has dedicated his life to defending the rule of law with integrity and honor, working each day to go after the most violent offenders, dismantle interstate drug trafficking organizations, and to enforce our federal immigration laws,” said Senator Moreno. “Ohioans can trust that David will work tirelessly to ensure our communities are safe, our law enforcement is supported, and that all criminals are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
Toepfer’s confirmation places him in a key federal role responsible for prosecuting federal crimes and representing the United States in civil litigation within the Northern District of Ohio.
