The National Rifle Association (NRA) has been facing challenges for several years, attributed to both external legal pressures and internal financial mismanagement. Dean Rieck, a pro-gun advocate, expressed his belief that the NRA can still be salvaged despite these issues.

Rieck emphasized the unique influence of the NRA in advocating for gun rights across various platforms including political arenas and courts. He noted that there is an ongoing effort by some board members to reform the organization by removing those responsible for past problems.

"Right now, there is a concerted effort by a group of NRA board members to reform the organization from within," he stated. These reformers aim to restore trust among NRA members through significant changes.

Wayne LaPierre has been removed from his position, and efforts are underway to recover misspent funds. Members are encouraged to participate in this reform process by voting for candidates committed to change.

"If you're an NRA member, by now you should have received one of these magazines: America's First Freedom, American Rifleman, American Hunter, or Shooting Illustrated," Rieck explained. The ballot included allows members to vote for candidates who support organizational reforms.

Rieck recommended voting for specific candidates such as Al Hammond and Charles Hiltunen among others who have pledged to clean up the NRA's leadership structure. He warned against supporting candidates associated with maintaining previous leadership dynamics.

"Please vote ONLY for the candidates above or for candidates who are fighting to reform the organization on your behalf," he advised.

As a long-time advocate of Second Amendment rights, Rieck remains hopeful about restoring the effectiveness of the NRA with member support. "I'm asking you to play your part and VOTE for change in the NRA," he concluded.
